Tucked away in a chilled-out coastal town, El Zonte is one of El Salvador’s most fun and consistent righthand waves. It’s a mix between a river mouth and a rocky point, which means you get a clean, peeling right that works for almost all levels. Whether you’re just getting your turns down or chasing something a little punchier, Zonte delivers. On smaller days, it’s super playful and easy to shred. When the swell picks up, it offers more power and push without getting too heavy, making it a great all-around wave. Just a quick drive from Sunzal, it’s a great spot to base your surf trip around.

Right next to the point, there’s also a mellow beach break that offers both rights and lefts — it works well up to head high and is usually uncrowded, making it a great option when the point gets too busy.
