From Fortaleza Airport to Jericoacoara:

Private Transfer: ~5 hours. A comfortable and direct option with door-to-door service, ideal for groups or those seeking flexibility.

Shared Shuttle: ~5 to 5.5 hours. A cost-effective and comfortable option that is faster than the bus and provides a smooth ride.

Bus: ~7 hours. The most economical but slowest option, including a transfer to a 4×4 vehicle in Jijoca. Buses run several times a day.

Rental Car: ~5 hours. Offers flexibility and allows for exploration along the way. A 4×4 vehicle is necessary for the final stretch from Jijoca to Jericoacoara.

Buggy & 4×4 Rentals: Best for moving between launch areas, exploring beyond main spots, and navigating sand tracks. Available for hourly or daily rental, often included in guided tours.

Motorbike & Bicycle Rentals: Good for short trips along the beach and to different access points. Some accommodations and local shops offer rentals.

Taxis & Private Transfers: Reliable for getting around town or to specific locations but less flexible for multiple stops. Often arranged through hotels.

Walking: Some spots are within walking distance, but other transport is recommended for reaching multiple locations efficiently.

No Public Transport for Spot-Hopping – Buses only connect to Fortaleza, not useful for moving between wind spots.

From Jericoacoara to Praia de Guriú

Buggy & 4×4 Vehicle (~30-45 min): The most practical way to visit Guriú Beach, often as part of local tours. Vehicles are suited for sand and rough terrain. Cost varies by tour operator.

Important Note: The trip requires crossing a river by ferry. Ferries run frequently during the day but stop at nightfall. If returning after 6:00 p.m., you must take a 10-mile dust road to the main CE-085 highway.
