Flight + Ferry: ~2-3 hours.
Fly to Samui Airport, then catch a ferry to Ko Tao. This is the fastest option, offering convenience with multiple daily ferry services.

Bus + Ferry: ~10-12 hours.
Overnight buses from Bangkok to Chumphon connect you to ferries heading to Ko Tao. This budget-friendly choice is popular among travelers.

Train + Ferry: ~11-14 hours.
Take a sleeper train from Bangkok to Chumphon, then board a ferry to Ko Tao. This option provides a comfortable overnight journey.

Motorbike Rentals
The most popular way to get around. Rentals start at 150 THB per day. Roads can be steep and uneven, so ride cautiously and always wear a helmet.

Taxis
Pickup-style taxis operate around the island, with fares starting at 400 THB per trip. Prices should be agreed upon before the ride.

Taxi Boats (Longtail Boats)
Used for reaching remote beaches and snorkelling spots. Fares start at 300 THB one-way, with full-day hires around 1,500 THB.

Bicycle Rentals
A good option for short distances, though hilly terrain can make cycling challenging.

Walking
Many places, especially near beaches and villages, are within walking distance. Some areas lack footpaths, so be mindful of traffic.
