Take a shared shuttle from Fortaleza to Jericoacoara (about 5 hours). From Jericoacoara, hire a 4×4 vehicle or join a buggy tour to Tatajuba, which takes an additional 45 minutes to 1 hour.

Rental Car (~5-6 hours)
Rent a 4×4 vehicle at Fortaleza Airport if you prefer driving. The drive to Tatajuba is around 340 km, with the last stretch requiring off-road capability. Note that regular cars may struggle with the sandy roads, so a 4×4 is essential.

Bus to Jericoacoara + Local Transport to Tatajuba (~7-8 hours)
Take a bus from Fortaleza to Jericoacoara (around 7 hours) and then arrange local transportation (a 4×4 or buggy) to Tatajuba. This is the most economical option but involves multiple transfers and a longer journey.

Tatajuba is a remote and tranquil location, so plan your trip in advance, especially during peak kitesurfing season.

Buggy & 4×4 Rentals: The best way to reach kite spots, lagoons, and remote areas. Suitable for sand dunes and off-road terrain. Available for hourly or daily rental, often included in guided tours.
